hello i am anthony stephen mendes a minimalist founder bootstrapping uhtend

I am Anthony Stephen Mendes, a minimalist founder based in Mumbai. My primary focus is Uhtend, a subscription for events in Mumbai.

Apart from that, I am building my one person Framer website development agency called All Seeing One.

Some of my side projects include:

  • Joumoji — the emoji journal.

  • OneTapCopy — clipboard tool.

  • Tony Beys — Beyblade content.

  • Isantum — Pokemon TCG Pocket content.

  • LessChess — TCG for chess.

Building Uhtend for the future of events.

I have previously worked as a freelance content writer for Paytm Insider and then Kasa Kai Mumbai as a generalist to present events in India.

Over time I felt the need to host events on my own. And I did.

Hosting events is dear to me & making memorable experiences brings more joy to me than I could ever imagine.

Therefore it was only right I would build a startup for events.

Uhtend is a subscription for events in Mumbai.

With Uhtend you can access events we host in Mumbai for just ₹199 per month.

₹199 per month equates to $2.12 approximately at the time of writing.

We bring Uhtendees, venues and brands value with the way we host events.

As a bootstrapped venture, I am burning cash with my friend to keep it running.

Why are we the future of events?

  • Event tickets cost a lot; we want to offset them by presenting brand ads and inserts: be it on our app or during our events.

  • Friction exists for booking tickets; the process of adding to cart, submitting details, paying for your tickets, etc is too tedious. Our subscribers simply register with a few clicks.

  • Fees are excruciating; platform fees, taxes, other hidden charges increase overall cost.

  • Scalpers run wild; with Uhtend the concept of scalping does not exist. If you cannot make it for an event you simply forfeit your spot to a subscriber in the waitlist.

These are some of the common problems we are already solving.

To add to it, we want to be the go to platform for event-tech that aids event-goers, venues and brands.

  • Calendar sync for showcasing conflicts. Weather, traffic and general alerts for events.

  • Ads based on user interest and event history.

  • Incentives in the form of brand coupons for tardiness, staying longer, interacting, etc.

  • Photos/videos from events stored on the cloud and served to users as per requests. Auto tagging once media is made available.

  • Ability to invite friends, partners, etc to events.

  • Social features during events.

  • City to city integration with cost effective travel.

  • Incentivising venue visits and spending.

  • Raffles/giveaways for loyal subscribers.

  • Branded content at partner events.

Our model helps event goers, venues and brands to work seamlessly. We are looking to raise $$$ so we can focus on an app as well as have enough capital to host events.

We are at 41 subscribers at the time of writing.

Framer website development.

As you can figure, running an events company bootstrapped is capital intensive. I can't sleep well thanks to the constant overthinking around planning events each week.

To ensure I can operate Uhtend smoothly, I offer website development in Framer for brands.

Called All Seeing One, I offer the following to brands and professionals:

  • Building a website in Framer from scratch.

  • Migrating your website from WordPress to Framer.

  • Fixing your existing Framer website.

Building websites from scratch in Framer.

Framer is a no code tool that lets you create stunning websites without too many constraints as seen in other no-code tools.

This allows me to create high agency websites that a brand can manage on their own after it's delivered and launched.

Migrating your website to Framer.

Often brands have their website on Wix, Wordpress, Webflow, etc. I help them transition to Framer where they can build a proper system to host their website in the long term without affecting structure or SEO.

Fixing your existing Framer website.

Since Framer seems easy to work with, you may have run into a developer who left you with a hard to use/edit website.

I help brands fix their Framer website and ensure that the editing options remain clear to everyone on the team.

A look at some of my side projects.

As a minimalist generalist, my interest lies in various categories and niches.

Here's a look at some of them:

Tony Beys

Here's where I create Beyblade content and also host tournaments.

Isantum

A place where I post Pokemon TCG Pocket content.

LessChess

A trading card game for chess currently in its v0 stage.

Joumoji (formerly Dwoth)

Joumoji is an emoji journal that lets you create and maintain a minimalist journal with the help of emojis.

OneTapCopy (formerly Chibaku)

A clipboard tool that allows you to copy text in one tap. Reuse text that you often use.

You can find more of what I do using my Links page or you can subscribe to my newsletter.
